SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 0: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be met by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Take some time to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead. If time allows, you can explore the vibrant town of Arusha, known as the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.
Your safari adventure begins with a transfer from Arusha to the Serengeti National Park, either by flight or scenic drive. Upon arrival, embark on an afternoon game drive in the Central Serengeti, renowned for its abundant wildlife and stunning landscapes. The Serengeti is home to the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras traverse the plains. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you will stay overnight at a lodge or tented camp within the park, enjoying the serene wilderness and starlit skies.

Start your day with a morning game drive in the Serengeti, exploring different areas and observing a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, and cheetahs. Afterward, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a journey that may include a stop at Olduvai Gorge, known as the “Cradle of Mankind” for its archaeological significance. Arrive at your lodge on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, where you can relax and enjoy breathtaking views of the crater below. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s largest calderas and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The crater floor is home to a dense concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch in this unique environment. In the afternoon, travel to Lake Eyasi, a beautiful and lesser-visited region known for its cultural diversity and stunning landscapes. Overnight stay at a lodge or camp near Lake Eyasi, with dinner included.

Spend the morning with the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes, learning about their traditional ways of life. The Hadzabe are one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa, and the Datoga are skilled blacksmiths. Engage in activities such as hunting demonstrations and traditional craft making. After this enriching cultural experience, enjoy a scenic drive back to Arusha, where your safari concludes. Transfer to your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
