SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation

Upon arriving in Zanzibar, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation in Zanzibar Town. After checking in, take some time to relax and settle in, enjoying the tranquil surroundings and the welcoming atmosphere of the island. This day is all about unwinding after your journey. You might want to explore the nearby area casually, enjoy a leisurely walk, or simply relax at your hotel, soaking in the island’s unique vibe.

Start your day with a guided tour of Stone Town, the historical and cultural heart of Zanzibar. Wander through its labyrinthine streets, visiting iconic sites such as the Sultan’s Palace, House of Wonders, and the Old Fort. In the afternoon, embark on a Spice Tour, where you’ll visit a local plantation to learn about the island’s rich spice heritage. Experience the scents and tastes of various spices, including cloves, cinnamon, and vanilla. Return to your resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Take a boat trip to Prison Island, known for its giant tortoises and historical prison ruins. After exploring the island, continue to a nearby sandbank for a picnic lunch. Enjoy snorkeling in the clear waters, where you can see vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life. Return to your resort in the late afternoon, with time to relax and enjoy the sunset.

This day is dedicated to relaxation and optional water activities. You can choose to indulge in spa treatments, sunbathe on the beach, or participate in activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, or sailing. For those interested in more adventure, options like kite surfing or deep-sea fishing are available. Enjoy the evening at your leisure, perhaps dining at a beachfront restaurant.

Visit Jozani Forest, the last remaining indigenous forest on Zanzibar. Home to the endemic Zanzibar red colobus monkey, this forest offers a unique opportunity to see these rare primates in their natural habitat. Afterward, head to the southern part of the island for a dolphin tour, where you can experience the thrill of seeing dolphins in the wild and, if conditions permit, swim with them. Return to your resort for the evening.

After breakfast, spend your final morning relaxing or doing some last-minute shopping. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time to explore more of the island. Transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Zanzibar beach tour.
