SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be met by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Take some time to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead. If time allows, you can explore the vibrant town of Arusha, known as the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.

Day 2: Arusha National Park

Your safari begins with a visit to Arusha National Park, a diverse park offering stunning views of Mount Meru. Enjoy a game drive and a walking safari, where you’ll have the chance to see giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species. Canoeing on the Momella Lakes is another option, providing a unique perspective of the park’s wildlife and landscapes.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

Travel to Tarangire National Park, known for its large herds of elephants and ancient baobab trees. Embark on a game drive through the park’s diverse habitats, spotting wildlife such as lions, leopards, and a variety of antelope species. The Tarangire River is a magnet for animals, especially during the dry season, making it a prime location for wildlife viewing.

Days 4-7: Serengeti National Park

Next, head to the world-famous Serengeti National Park, where you’ll spend four days immersed in the heart of the Great Migration. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the dramatic river crossings or the calving season, with thousands of wildebeests and zebras filling the plains. Enjoy daily game drives, exploring different regions of the park, and capturing the breathtaking wildlife spectacles.

Day 8: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

On the eighth day, journey from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, you have the opportunity to visit Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world. Continue to your lodge located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, offering stunning views of the crater below.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of exploration. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos. The diverse ecosystems within the crater support a variety of species, making it one of the best places for game viewing in Tanzania.

Day 10: Lake Manyara National Park and Return to Arusha

On your final day, visit Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos. Enjoy a game drive along the shores of the alkaline lake, where you can see hippos, elephants, and a variety of bird species. In the afternoon, travel back to Arusha, where you’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
